Why We Started Reuse Medical
Reuse Medical was founded by U.S. veterans who saw firsthand the gap between the medical equipment that well-funded hospitals take for granted and what under-resourced facilities — domestically and internationally — are forced to go without.
The secondary market for pre-owned medical equipment has always existed, but it has historically been fragmented, opaque, and difficult for buyers to navigate with confidence. Sellers couldn't easily find buyers. Buyers couldn't easily verify quality. Equipment that still had years of clinical life left was ending up in storage rooms or landfills.
We built Reuse Medical to fix that. Starting from our facility in Fresno, California, we acquire pre-owned medical equipment from hospitals, clinics, and healthcare institutions, test and grade every item against OEM specifications, and make it available to healthcare providers who need it — at prices that make sense for their budgets.
The mission is straightforward: extend the useful life of medical equipment, reduce healthcare waste, and make quality clinical technology accessible to more people in more places. That's what drives every acquisition, every inspection, and every sale we make.
